The District

Wedged between Mission Dolores and Potrero Hill, this sunny neighborhood is where techies, artists, hipsters, and diverse cultures all peacefully coexist.

Described as one of the nation’s “hippest” neighborhoods, tech industry leaders head to the Mission in droves for its diverse array of trendy shopping and foodie pleasures. Access to public transportation is plentiful in the Mission and many find themselves biking around the flatlands to and from the famous Mission Dolores Park.


In addition to multiple bus lines there are two Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) stations at 16th Street and Mission Street and 24th Street and Mission Street. Many locals venture to other peripheral areas of the city on the weekends as the youth tend to frequent the recently remodeled Dolores Park, a focal point between the popular Mission, Castro and Lower Haight districts.
